An even better advantage is that you may use PDFs as a substitute for printing drafts or finished slides, thus saving so much paper. The biggest advantage is that recipients won't be able to edit your slides, and you can embed fonts easily. Disadvantages include that you cannot be entirely multimedia-friendly. How to view other settings in iOS OneNote for iOS includes some settings in the device settings that aren’t accessible via the app. To access these settings, tap the Settings icon on your device’s Home screen and tap the OneNote icon in the Settings pane at the left. The OneNote settings then appear at the right, and are as follows: • Sync on Wi-Fi Only: If you have a limited amount of data to work with, you’ll probably want to toggle this item to On so that you don’t wind up going over your data limits. • Reset Application: If you have sync or other errors that don’t fix themselves by restarting OneNote, toggle to On and then restart OneNote to reset the app. You’ll have to sign in to the app; this option automatically toggles itself to Off. • Version: You can’t change this “setting”; it simply lists the version of the app that’s on your device. How to manage note syncing for iOS You can set individual notes to sync automatically — or not to — as well as whether or not to appear on the Home screen. To do so, follow these steps: • From the Home screen, tap the Settings button at the top of the OneNote interface. Paste the text back into OneNote using Ctrl+V (or ⌘ Cmd+V on a Mac) and edit it in the app if you like. You can also choose to paste the image into another program. You can select the text using your mouse cursor and then pressing Ctrl + C (or ⌘ Cmd + C on a Mac). ![]() To get to the Home screen, tap the Back button until you can’t anymore. • Tap Notebook Settings. The Notebook Settings window appears. • Tap the On slider next to a notebook to toggle it Off. A notebook with an Off slider next to it won’t appear on the Home screen or sync automatically. • Tap the Settings button in the upper-left corner and then tap the Close button in the upper right of the window. You return to the Home screen with notebooks set to Off no longer visible and no longer automatically syncing to SkyDrive. How to configure image settings for iOS OneNote gives you quite a few options for image size. Here’s how to change the default image size for photos and images added to notes: • From the Home screen, tap the Settings button at the top of the OneNote interface. • Tap Image Size at the top of the window.
